Overview: These are the profile banners I made for XSEED Games on Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook. I have to make two versions of each banner with "Coming Soon" for pre-launch and "Available Now" for after the release.
Challenge: Making sure each banner accurately reflects the game and being able to fit all platforms, dates/info, and ESRB ratings inside the banner. Always have in mind the different devices they will show up on for users.
For Twitter, I keep in mind the avatar that will cover part of the left side of the banner. I have to make sure none of the platform logos will get covered by it. I also consider the different mobile phone screens that can be used, so I place the text in the middle or lower in case anything might get blocked by the hardware's design. I use a test account where I upload the banner to see if it will look good on mobile devices.
Facebook profile banners appear differently on mobile and desktop, so I have to make sure all of the necessary information is inside a safe area. I created a template that will assure it will look good on either device.
For Twitch banners, I have to keep in mind the videos that will be placed in the middle of the banner. I leave that area empty of major graphics and information and place it around where the videos will appear. I have a test template to make sure it will look okay.
